New Years Eve!!

Well, this is it, New Years Eve and I'm ending the year with a November mingle card that Carol Meadows made for me. Isn't it wonderful, thank you so much Carol.

In all honesty since I've come back from my vacation, I just haven't had the motivation to do anything, hopefully I'll get my mojo back.

I told you yesterday that I would have to think about my New Years resolution. Of course, you have the usual ones that everyone makes every year and lasts for about a month, you know, the Losing weight, Going to the gym, Quit smoking etc......I decided that I only have one that I really want to work on, and that's to blog on My Stitching Corner at least once a week. From the time I started that blog in April, I've only made 5 entrees, and haven't done any cross Stitching. I hope to change all of that.

Well, I guess it's out with the old and in with the new, for some, 2010 was a wonderful year, while for others not so great, either way, I do hope that 2011 is a Great and Prosperous year!!

The Cold One!!

This is the last card of mine that I will be sharing with you this year.
Here is a snowman card I did without dry embossing. The snowman is heat embossed and colored with Prisma colored pencils. The background was done with a bunch of punched out snowflakes that I glued onto the card, making it look like it was embossed.
Well, the New Years is only a few days away, has anyone made any New years resolutions yet!
I'll have to think about mine and get back to you.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Snow, Snow, Snow

Well, I do hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did.
I have to admit that this year seemed a bit wired. I recently returned from my winter vacation and while I was there I found it hard to believe it was Christmas time. I've lived in Alberta for so long that I'm so used to the cold and snow around Christmas time, but this year everywhere we went it was hot, hot, hot.
I wanted to share this card with you because it represents what it is like outside.
That's right, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
The temp outside isn't that bad, it's only -8°C but it is snowing.
The card was made with Stamping up stamps and a rub on,
easy peasy!

On the 8th Day!

Here is my Magnolia Mingle card I did for the month of December, it was sent out on the 3rd of Dec. to Dewi Hasan. I do hope she likes it, along with the other things I put in the card.

I used both Copic Markers and Smooch to color this image. I glittered the snowfakes and ground to look like snow, the sketch I used is from Card Pattern 49.

They have new challenges every Saturday, go over and check it out.

Here is a close up.

Christmas Countdown Day 9

I love this card, it combines both my love of cardmaking and cross stitch. I have done several of these types of card for Christmas but that was before I know the importance of taking a picture.
The tree was a free cross stitch pattern from The Chart Shop, I also cross stitched the tags that year.

11 Days and Counting!!

Here is another one with no stamps on it, in fact, both the image and sentiment are stickers.
I still like this card just for the simplicity of it and the traditional colors
RED, GREEN and WHITE

On the 12th Day!

On the 12th Day of Christmas my true love sent to me...... Peace on earth and good will to men?
Oh, how I wish that was true!
Anyway, here is another basic card I made in one of the classes I went to last month.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Day 13!

I really enjoyed making my first waterfall card, I used non-traditional colors. I love the way it turned out and it wasn't hard or complicated to make.
Okay people, I hope you have your Christmas turkey or ham bought, and all your gifts wrapped, Christmas is just over a week away!!

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Day 14!

This is a 3D card from flower soft, I covered the trees in ivory and some of the ground.
The sentiment stamp is from Wal-mart.

Day 15!

Okay People it's time to settle down and be serious about your gifts. If buying them or making them, you should have the majority of them wrapped or ready to wrap. Overseas cards and/or packages should have been posted weeks ago.

The image on this card was made from a free CD rom I got from Cardmaking and Papercrafts Magazine. The stamp is from a set called Three Holiday Messages from Hero Arts.

Thursday, December 9, 2010

Day 16!

This card was done in 2009, I cased it from a michaels project site.

The stamp is from Stampendous and I embossed it with Stampendous tinsel blue.

I glittered the inside of the dove with white glitter.

Wednesday, December 8, 2010

Day 17!

You can never have to much glitter on your cards!
I made this card in a card class, last month, very pretty.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Day 18!

Here is a card using one of the New Spellbinder Shapeaiblities 2010 Snowflake pendent. I love this pendent, it was cut out using the cuttlebug and then silver glitter was used to cover it.

Day 19

Have you all finished your Christmas shopping yet? You only have a few weeks left.
Here is a very traditional card I made for a color challenge on SCS, to use Bravo Burgundy and Old Olive ink.
The stamp is from Inkadinkado clear Holiday Silhouettes, and I used label 6 from Spellbinders Nestabilities.
I inked the edge green and stamped the image in Bravo Burgundy ink, then placed some bling in some of the flowers.

Day 20!

Here is a very clean and simple card, again no stamps where used.
Everything on this card is from a rub on set that I got from Michaels.
I put Santa on a red background and popped up the Ho Ho Ho sentiment.

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Day 21!

If you're a Stamping Up crafter, than you should recenise this card.
This was a card I did at a Creative Stitches and Crafting alive show about two years ago. It was a make and take at their booth.

Friday, December 3, 2010

Day 22!

This was one I did when I just started making cards. No rubber or digital stamps, just paper.
Don't think you can tell by the picture, but the blue paper has glitter on it. I embossed it using my cuttlebug folder Snowflakes, used a silver sparkle ribbon snowflake sticker from Michaels and silver paper that I got from the dollar store. The sentiment is a sticker set from Harmonie with Christmas greetings on it.

Day 23!

Well, only 23 more days until Christmas, are you ready?
Crafting with Deedee's Digi is having a sketch challenge this week.
When I saw the sketch I know I had to use Deedee's Beauty of the Season image, I think it worked so well with the sketch.

I even did the inside!
I will add this to my collection of Christmas card that I need for this year!
I'm also entering this card into Top Tip Tuesday where anything goes!

Countdown to Christmas!!

Can you believe that we only have 24 more days until Christmas. I know I can't, I've been so busy getting ready for my winter vacay that I haven't even though about it, until know. So, because I'll be away this month, I decided to post one Christmas card/project a day, up to and including Christmas.

Here is the first one, it's a Christmas tag I did using my cricut machine and a digital stamp from Digital Delights called Bell and Teddy, isn't he cute!

Go over to the shop and check out there new Christmas images, you won't be disappointed.
